Dennis Schröder led the Brooklyn Nets to their first win of the season in the NBA and sparked a party in the locker room. The 115:102 against the Milwaukee Bucks was the first win in head coach Jordi Fernandez’s NBA coaching career. The Spaniard had previously only worked as an assistant coach in the best basketball league in the world and was celebrated by his players after the game.
“I mean, a guy from Europe, from Spain, as a head coach in the NBA, that’s something big,” said Schröder. With 29 points, 6 assists and 4 rebounds, he delivered a strong performance in the first home game of the season. Cam Thomas had the best result of all professionals with 32 points, while Giannis Antetokounmpo was the most successful for the Bucks with 22 points.
