“The modus operandi is very similar to that of the previous days, and although it is not the same e-mail address, according to our information there is a connection between the accounts,” the police said on the X network.
They noted that the threat cannot be underestimated and that they will proceed as in the past days. “It remains the case that we do not want to interfere with the operation of schools, as we consider the relevance of the threat to be very low,” they wrote.
Already on Tuesday, hundreds of schools throughout the Czech Republic received notices in which the author claimed that they were mined. The threatening e-mails also came on Wednesday. These were primary and secondary schools, state and private. Similar e-mails also came to schools in Slovakia.
Minister of the Interior Vít Rakušan (STAN) called the threats an obviously targeted attack and stated that his goal is to make society insecure and bring fear and nervousness into it. “We have seen this modus operandi in other places in Europe in the past,” he noted.
