Schools in Abu Dhabi will not open soon; Distance learning extended

Abu Dhabi: Distance education for students in all schools in Abu Dhabi has been extended for another three weeks. The Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Committee has announced that the online learning process will continue for another three weeks from January 17.

The committee added that the decision was taken as part of precautionary measures to prevent the spread of Kovid and taking into account the health and safety of the student community. The committee urged parents, guardians and teachers and non-teaching staff in all schools to receive the Kovid vaccine.

The new announcement comes as students prepare to return to school on January 17 after two weeks of online classes in the new school year. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Education has decided to continue studying online in classes IX to XII in the UAE until further notice.
