Hanover (dpa / lni) – The school management association of Lower Saxony wants to hold on to face-to-face teaching for as long as possible after the autumn break despite the corona pandemic. “We need as much face-to-face teaching as humanly possible and we need it for as long as humanly possible,” said the chairwoman of the association, Andrea Kunkel, of the German press agency. A mask requirement instead of a recommendation from the fifth grade for schools in a corona hotspot would have simplified a lot from their point of view. If the number of cases increases, there will certainly be an obligation – “and we would also support that.”

She described the use of air purification systems in schools, as required by the FDP, as “illusory”. Investments in schools that have not been made in the past 10 or 20 years cannot be made up for in a very short time.
