Schools – Hamburg – restrictions in music lessons no longer apply – education

Hamburg (dpa / lno) – Even after the end of the holidays, Hamburg’s students have to come to school with a corona protective mask. The school authorities announced on Wednesday that the existing restrictions on music and theater lessons would no longer apply from March 21. However, the obligation to wear masks, tests and ventilation as well as the operation of the ventilation devices remained in place until April 3rd – also because of the increased risk of infection from those returning from travel.

However, after the end of the holidays, pupils could play music and play theater together again without a minimum distance. Cross-year choirs and school orchestras are also allowed to play together again, it said. Where it is necessary for making music, the mask can also be removed – this also applies to singing.

The prerequisite for the easing is “the careful maintenance of the other security measures,” emphasized School Senator Ties Rabe. “All students have to test themselves three times a week, the classrooms are ventilated for five minutes every 20 minutes and the mobile air filter devices are in operation.”
