The school has announced this in a letter to parents and students. The boy was in seventh grade.
“This blow hit us hard, we are very sad and upset,” said rector Ard de Graaf and department leader Marie-Claire Visser in the letter.
Resuscitated several times
According to the AD, employees of the school immediately started CPR when the child became unwell. Ambulance personnel also resuscitated the boy, after which he was rushed to a hospital. Despite all efforts to save the boy, he later died.
All students from the college in Kampen were sent home after the incident. The educational institution asks parents to talk to their children about the death of the boy.
