School teacher Bart De Wever testifies about his love for Roman coins: “He would have cried if other children touched them” (Inland)

It was with watery eyes that Bart De Wever (51) in Pieces of People offered for sale a gold Roman coin bearing the effigy of Emperor Augustus on Play4. His former school teacher Lieve De Backer is not surprised by this emotionality. “When he showed his coin collection in class as a ten-year-old, the other kids were allowed to watch from a distance, but Bart would have yelled if anyone had even dared to touch them.”
