The reopening of classes was very eventful yesterday, in a school in the town of Mbour. The school principal flouted the sanitary protocol, refusing to buy batteries for the thermoflash.
As a pretext, the school director suggested that “it was the president of the parents’ association who had to take care of it. And the latter also refused to do so ”.
But the teachers, who insisted on respecting health security conditions, categorically refused to return to their class if the pupils did not pass the thermoflash.
Finally, they spent the whole day chatting in the schoolyard, and the students left to fend for themselves in the classrooms.
