“Most children enjoy painting with colored pencils, so we decided to create our own coloring book. Since our junior company makes nesting boxes and feeders for birds, the coloring book deals with the local bird world,” emphasize Katharina Eder and Nadine Zöchling, who are responsible for the drawings and the texts.
“From the house sparrow to the robin to the blue tit, there are templates that kids can bring to life with color. A profile of each bird species provides information about the most important characteristics of the feathered friends,” say the young authors.
Ten native bird species are presented on 26 pages. There are also handicraft instructions for designing birds out of paper. A tricky puzzle completes the lovingly designed book. The coloring book can be obtained for EUR 9.50 from the junior company’s website www.fluegelfreind.at, where the entire product range is presented. World Education Day
With the International Day of Education on January 24, UNESCO reminds us every year that education is the key to sustainable development. In 2018, World Education Day was celebrated for the first time. This year the motto was “Learning for people, planet, prosperity and peace”.
