Students in the three provinces will get an additional three days of school holidays.
The policy for increasing student vacation time was released by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbud Ristek) after coordinating with the Provincial Governments of DKI Jakarta, West Java, and Banten.

Initially, school holidays for students in DKI Jakarta, West Java, and Banten will end on Sunday, May 8, 2022 and re-enter Monday, May 9, 2022.
With this policy, they can enter school on Thursday, May 12, 2022.
