Staff of the School component of the “Dr. Horacio Díaz Gómez”, from the Social Security Fund, in Santiago, Veraguas province, carried out a day to update vaccine records, laboratory tests, among other services aimed at infants and teachers at La Primavera School.
“We are caring for children from kindergarten to sixth grade with their teachers, we serve two groups at the same time, parents also participate since it is important that they as parents can guide us, if the infant is allergic or has a chronic illness”, said Dr. Joselyn González, from the School component.
Also on this day the influenza and COVID-19 vaccine was applied to students, teachers, in the same way the children were given talks on nutrition, psychology and speech therapy.
“If any child in sixth grade lacks the certificate for pre-media, they are evaluated for laboratory tests, a cognitive test, and if they need a referral, they are made to the specialist that merits, it is also important to point out that during the year, it is the third school health fair that we carry out, three schools remain pending, we have already coordinated with the directors and some teachers for the date to be held, in the same way in the polyclinic, we provide care to the boys and girls in the clinics of the school program, with the entire multidisciplinary team”, added Dr. González.
