School chaos in Salerno, the institutes “saved” by… Curva Nord

Il Municipality of Salernoin all likelihood, will be thanking heaven for not having initiated the interventions foreseen in the North Curve dell’Arechi. The funds – approximately one million euros obtained with a mortgage taken out at Deposits and Loans Fund – not used to give back that slice of the “prince of the stadiums” to the Salernitana fans with the simultaneous movement of the visiting supporters to the Distinti, in fact, they are saving the administration forced to deal with the well-known cash flow problems.

After investing approximately 450 thousand euros of that game to finance the two lots of useful interventions to fix the road signs (in particular the traffic lights, some of which have been working intermittently or broken for months, like the system at the crossroads between via dei Mille and via Medaglie d’Oro), another part of that money will be used for complete the safety and adaptation interventions of the spaces of the city institutes which will have to host the students “transferred” from the buildings declared unfit for use after the checks last summer. This is the decision taken by the emergency council convened for yesterday in the presence of the mayor Vincenzo Napoli in which, after the controversies and protests at the start of lessons, an attempt was made to patch up all the inconveniences that are being encountered in many city schools. The Board of War Palace will invest 175 thousand euros from the funds saved for the interventions not carried out in the Curva Nord to guarantee the adaptation of the spaces of its institutes.
