From November 18 to 22, 2024, MEDEF Béarn & Soule, in partnership with the Ministry of National Education and with the support of MEDEF Nouvelle-Aquitaine, will organize a School Business Week.
This campaign aims to strengthen links between the world of education and businesses in our area. For five days, professionals from services, trade and new technologies will speak in 10 high schools to present their professions, share their experiences and inspire students.
With 20 interventions planned, this edition is a great opportunity for young people to get to know the diversity of professions and plan for their professional future.
Many thanks to the participating companies, institution managers and teachers for participating in this approach, which is essential for the attractiveness of our region and the training of tomorrow’s talents.

As the website editor, I would like to present an interview with two guests discussing the importance of the School Business Week campaign organized by MEDEF Béarn & Soule, Ministry of National Education, and MEDEF Nouvelle-Aquitaine.
Interviewee 1: Ms. Elodie, Director of a high school in Pau, France.
Interviewee 2: Mr. Denis, HR Manager at a local technology company in Pau, France.
Website Editor: Hello and welcome, Mr. Denis and Ms. Elodie. We are delighted to have you both here today to talk about the significance of the School Business Week campaign. Ms. Elodie, as a high school director, can you please share your thoughts on the role of this initiative in bridging the gap between education and businesses in your region?
Ms. Elodie: Thank you for having me. The School Business Week is a wonderful opportunity for our students to gain exposure to the diverse job opportunities available in our region. It provides a bridge between the theoretical knowledge they acquire in school and the practical skills required in the workforce. By engaging with professionals from different industries, they can make more informed decisions about their future career paths and develop a better understanding of the skills needed for success. This initiative also helps to build relationships between the education sector and local businesses, fostering collaboration and support for our students’ development.
Website Editor: That’s a great perspective, Ms. Elodie. Mr. Denis, as an HR manager working closely with young professionals, how do you see the School Business Week benefiting your company and the local job market?
Mr. Denis: Absolutely. As a business operating in the region, we understand the importance of investing in our future workforce. The School Business Week is an excellent platform for us to connect with talented individuals and showcase the skills needed for our industry. We can share our experiences and challenges, inspire them to consider a career in technology, and potentially identify potential candidates for future job openings. By doing so, we hope to contribute to the growth and development of the local job market by attracting and retaining top talent. It’s also an opportunity for us to build a strong pipeline of young professionals for our industry, ensuring a bright future for our company
