Monroe.- A Union County school bus suffered an accident when it left the road while transporting 33 students.
The Sheriff’s office noted that the Union County Public Schools bus crashed on the morning of Wednesday, October 9, 2024.
This occurred on Mill Grove Road, near Lawyers Road, while transporting 33 Porter Ridge High School students.
Injured students
As explained by the authorities, bus number 499 left the road on a curve, which caused it to end up in the middle of the brush.
The Sheriff’s Office said that during this accident, three students were injured along with the bus driver.
However, the four injured people were treated at the scene as they only had minor injuries.
And according to the WBTV portal, only the school bus was affected in this incident and no other vehicles were involved.
Meanwhile, authorities indicated that Mill Grove Road had to be closed to traffic while agents investigate the cause of the accident.
