School Beats Choir Annual Concert Rehearsal in La Cazerne Town Hall

The last preparatory meeting and the final rehearsal for the school’s annual concert, the Beats Choir, was held in the town hall in La Cazerne, which was made available by the town. The concert is scheduled for Thursday, May 16, at 7pm, in the performance hall of La Cigalière, in Bollène.

This academic choral singing festival, offered in co-production with the Regional Association of School Choirs and Orchestras (Arecos) of the Montpellier Academy, brings together one hundred and thirty children with the support of the head of the station, music teachers, teachers and music teachers. George-Ville college students from grades 6 to 3.

The coordinator of this show, Anne Balsells, professor of music education and choral singing at Colaiste George-Ville, will lead this large gathering of young choirs on stage. This final dress rehearsal gave the middle school students a chance to revisit their scores. On the program, a collection of two-part songs, this show brings together different eras and styles, including rock, jazz, world music and French songs (Zazie, Cabrel and many others).

Circus performers and hip-hop demos

The choirs will be accompanied by professional musicians and students from the college’s music department.

The musicians will be joined by circus acts and hip-hop shows. On the eve of this great event, Anne Balsells does not hide her satisfaction: “We are a good group. I think all the children are in good shape. All the teachers are with us. It is working well. Everything should go well and finish this year on a high.” This is the wish of the organizers: a colorful show, a beautiful evening that will make the hearts of the audience beat faster.
