The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Guatemala (Colmedegua) reported that, as of March 31, the vaccination day against Covid-19 will begin for all physicians, with or without individual registration, who are working on the front line in patient care. There will be four vaccination centers that the Ministry of Public Health and Social Assistance (MSPAS) made available for this purpose, one of them jointly with the Association of that union.
Through its social networks, Colmedegua shared the locations of these vaccination centers, these being the following:
– Parque Erick Barrondo, 28 avenida 14-02, Ciudad de Plata II neighborhood, zone 7.
– Gerona Sports Center, 15 avenida 13-52, zone 1.
– Campos del Roosevelt, located on 6th. street and 9th. avenue of the zone 11.

The dates on which the Covid-19 vaccine will be administered are from March 31 to April 4, respectively, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Doctors must present the Personal Identification Document (DPI), adding any of the following documents: the certificate of association, professional title or the health license approved by DRACES.

THE COLLEGE OF PROFESSIONALS WILL BE ENABLED AS A VACCINATION CENTER
Colmedegua added that, as of April 7, there will be a fourth vaccination center, which will be located in the building of the College of Professionals, located at 0 street 15-46 of zone 15, El Maestro neighborhood.
This center will attend from Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and the documents described above must be presented.
Colmedegua added that in order to expedite the vaccination process that will be carried out in the Professional Association, the Individual Registration process must be previously completed, in the MSPAS Registration System, “since it is a mandatory condition to access the vaccine”. COLMEDEGUA DEMANDED THAT ACCESS TO THE VACCINE BE GUARANTEED
On March 25, through a statement, Colmedegua demanded that the MSPAS guarantee access to the Covid-19 vaccine for all health professionals, including private doctors, adding up to a total of 12 thousand doctors.
This pronouncement was derived from the inoculation process with which the Health portfolio began, which initially excluded 60 percent of professionals.
