Mechanic, carpenter, office worker or surveyor? Young people face a big decision as their school years come to an end. And companies are also looking for young, motivated people who would like to complete an apprenticeship. To help with networking, the Pielachtal regional planning community is organizing an apprentice fair for the second time. This year it will take place in the Pielachtalhalle in Ober-Grafendorf.
Around 30 training companies will present their apprenticeship offerings at the trade fair and give young people an insight into the world of work. Students and their parents can find out about the diversity and possibilities of apprenticeship training and open apprenticeships under the motto “get an idea of your future”.
“The shortage of skilled workers is also noticeable in the Pielachtal,” says chairman of the regional planning community Kurt Wittmann. “I am pleased that the Pielachtal apprentice fair is going into its second round in Ober-Grafendorf after last year’s great success, thereby making both apprenticeships and companies in the valley more visible.”
There is great interest among middle schools and polytechnic schools: around 400 students will attend the fair together with their teachers.
The second Pielachtal apprentice fair in the Pielachtalhalle in Ober-Grafendorf will take place on Monday, October 2nd, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
