Saur then listed some changes that have occurred since the budget was brought in. The share of income tax will be reduced by around 100,000 euros. In the redevelopment area, the rate for private modernization and repair measures must be increased from 25,000 euros to 125,000 euros; this also applies to the approach for the purchase of land, which increases from 1.9 million to 2.1 million euros.
The committee approved the measures requested by the Schörzinger local council (sun sails for the kindergarten, renovation of the footpath behind the kindergarten, replacement purchases for the building yard and renewal of the exhaust air system in the Hohenberghalle). In order to provide counter-financing, the local council had proposed not building the bus shelters in the center of the village and reducing the funds for the Brühlen playground.
Frank Polich recalled that the committee had decided to straighten one street every year. This is not planned for 2021. Sprenger suggested taking up the topic again in the spring when you see “how things are going with the household”. Daniel Saffrin appealed to take up some of the suggestions made at the community workshop in the context of urban development: “These must not all remain in the drawer.” He applied to provide 10,000 euros for play equipment on the marketplace. In this context, Sprenger pointed out that something is definitely being done with regard to citizens’ suggestions – for example in the train station area.
Schörzingen mayor Tommy Geiger said that not all planned measures would actually be implemented in the coming year. In view of the current low interest rates, more loans could well be taken out.
The budget for 2021 is to be adopted at the meeting of the municipal council on December 9th.
