“In this critical situation, Russia should not underestimate our resolve and unity – as partners in the EU, as allies in NATO. I want to make it clear: we take the concerns of our allies very seriously,” Scholz said.

“We want peace,” Scholz recalled and added that the Russian Federation would face serious political, economic and strategic consequences in the event of an invasion of Ukraine.
