Under the umbrella of the new owner Swisspor, the heavy clay manufacturer ZZ Wancor is returning to its original name: Zürcher Ziegeleien, or ZZ for short. The Zurich agency is accompanying the name change and repositioning as an independent member of the swisspor family, developing the brand design and supporting the launch of the new, but at the same time familiar, brand.
Positioned for growth
Builders and architects are looking for naturalness. Because with increasing health and environmental awareness of the Swiss population, the demands on indoor climate and ecology are increasing. Accordingly, interest in clay as a building material is increasing. Michael Fritsche, Managing Director of Zürcher Ziegeleien, explains the advantages: “The brick can breathe and makes rooms more comfortable. At the same time, our bricks, roof tiles and facade panels are local natural products, completely free of harmful substances and sustainable. By the way, bricks are excellent at storing heat. We see real growth potential here and Scholtysik & Partner is helping us to exploit this potential. “
Radically simple design
On the one hand, ZZ addresses architects with their high demands on design and innovation. And on the other hand to building owners and roofers with their desire for performance and reliability. Patrick Alexander, Head of Marketing and Communication, sees both target groups ideally addressed: “In design, Scholtysik & Partner hits the“ sweet spot ”where our target groups find themselves. I get consistently positive feedback: The building professionals appreciate the strength and also the respect for tradition. The architects recognize Swiss minimalism and the courage to adopt an uncompromising attitude. “
Future in the Swisspor Group
ZZ is already known today for the system guarantee and the wide range for roof, wall and facade including photovoltaics and insulation. However, the cooperation within the Swisspor Group should open up new opportunities here.
