“Schneider Electric Expands Riga Factory with 14 Million Euro Investment”

The international energy management company “Schneider Electric” has started building an extension to the existing factory in Riga, Krustpils Street 35A, thus expanding its size twice. The total investment of the factory expansion project is 14 million euros.

The area of ​​the new extension will be 20,000 m². The construction works are planned to be completed at the end of 2023, while the production of the new factory will start in January 2024.

Along with the expansion, the Riga factory of “Schneider Electric” aims to become the largest producer of electronic products of “Schneider Electric” in Europe.

Entering Latvia

In 1995, the Schneider Electric sales organization was established in our country. “Schneider Electric” began production in Latvia in 1999, and initially specialized in the production of electromechanical and electronic products, including light regulators, thermostats, motion sensors, smoke detectors, light switches. Currently, the factory produces increasingly complex electronic products.

In 2008, the “Schneider Electric” Baltic logistics center was also established in Latvia, which is located in Salaspils.
