Ibrahim Sangaré is missing on Saturday in the Eredivisie-top of PSV at AZ. The 23-year-old midfielder is struggling with an injury, according to trainer Roger Schmidt of the Eindhoven team in front of the ESPN camera.
Sangaré was left with groin complaints on Monday after the World Cup qualifying match between Ivory Coast and Cameroon (2-1). PSV and Schmidt fear they will lose the balafpakker for about two weeks. That is quite a loss, since a crucial week is approaching for the Eindhoven residents. After the duel with AZ, consecutive confrontations with Real Sociedad in the Europa League (Thursday) and Feyenoord in the Eredivisie (Sunday).
Sangaré is replaced in Alkmaar by Armando Obispo. As a result, Olivier Boscagli forms a midfield with Marco van Ginkel. Besides Sangaré, Davy Pröpper is also still not available. Taste maker Cody Gakpo has recovered in time.
