Schleching – On Friday evening, November 6th, an 11-year-old was stopped in the municipality of Schleching by officers from the Grassau police station.

The press release from the police in full:

The reason was that he was traveling on the bike path with an e-scooter without an insurance number. In this context, the Grassau Police Inspectorate again points out that small electric vehicles, known in everyday language as e-scooters, must have an appropriate insurance number attached before they are used in public traffic areas. In addition, a minimum age of 14 years is required to use an e-scooter.

When driving in public traffic without a valid liability insurance, every driver of criminal responsibility must expect a criminal complaint for an offense according to the compulsory insurance law.
