Schiedam Baker: I knew nothing of the hundreds of cannabis cookies in my bakery

Very naive and too confident. Baker Abdelaziz R. admits this right away. He shouldn’t have simply handed the key to his bakery to a 39-year-old acquaintance who is now a co-defendant. He would also have to check for himself what was going on in his building himself. He can be blamed for it, but a forced closure of three months is too harsh a sentence and has dire consequences. Then he can close the bakery and is left with large debts. “This cannot be the intention”, says his lawyer Ronell Paniagua.
