Governor Juan Schiaretti signed today in San Antonio de Arredondo the contract with the company Supercemento SAIC to start the execution of the basic work of sewage treatment of the southern basin of the San Roque dam that will allow some 85 thousand residents of 6 localities of the Punilla department can connect to the home sewage network.
On the other hand, Schiaretti enabled the first stage of the residential gas network. The first user to receive the service is Paola Quiroga from the Playas de Oro neighborhood.
The work was carried out by the Government of Córdoba and consisted of the installation of 4,500 meters of networks that will allow 110 users to connect to the natural gas network. Thus, approximately 440 inhabitants will benefit, with an investment of 27 million pesos.
Schiaretti highlighted the importance of the two ventures, as a factor of progress for the entire region. “We need to clean up the entire San Roque basin so that we have clean and abundant water, which allows us to preserve the health of our people.-said-, are the works that are not seen but are central to the care of ecology and health”.
These works are part of the strategic plan for sewage sanitation works, projected for a design period of 20 years, with an investment of 1,329,453,688 pesos. The project contemplates the execution of 11,745 meters of maximum sewer, 175 manholes, 6 pumping stations and 4,200 meters of discharge pipe.
The work will begin in June and will generate 30 direct jobs. The towns of Cuesta Blanca, Villa Icho Cruz, Tala Huasi, Mayu Sumaj, San Antonio de Arredondo and the Villa Carlos Paz area will be able to connect to the network.
