BANJARMASINPOST.CO.ID, JAKARTA – The following is the schedule for closing all Giant outlets which will be carried out in July 2021. Including outlets in Banjarmasin City.
As is known, PT Hero Supermarket Tbk (HERO) will close all its Giant supermarket outlets. This was done as a step in HERO’s business strategy.
Later HERO will convert five Giant outlets into IKEA which will become the new focus of Hero Group.
HERO explained that the closure of the Giant store was part of the company’s business strategy to focus its business on the IKEA, Guardian, and Hero Supermarket trademarks.
This line of business is considered to have higher growth potential than Giant.

Observations at one of the Giant Express outlets located in the Cipinang area, East Jakarta on Thursday (27/5) afternoon, the volume of visitors who came to the Cipinang Giant Express was observed to be quiet.
Seen, there are no queues at the entrance or in every corridor of the shop. Likewise with the queue at each cashier
During the monitoring, many visitors shopped for daily necessities, such as rice, oil, detergent, instant noodles, and sugar. Understandably, today has entered the payday for some agencies.
