Scavengers Arrested for Kidnapping in Central Jakarta!

Case kidnapping a girl with the initials MA (6) led by a street sweeper named Iwan Sumarno (42) in Gunung Sahari, Central Jakarta, it was revealed. Not only was the victim rescued, but the culprit was also arrested by the police.

“We found MA and arrested the perpetrators,” AKBP Criminal Investigation Unit Chief Gunarto, Central Jakarta Metropolitan Police Chief, said on Monday (2/1/2023) when contacted.

Gunarto said the arrest of Iwan Suwarno was made tonight. At the moment the police are still at the arrest site.

“We are currently still at the TKP of Ciledug,” explained Gunarto.

Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Komarudin earlier said this was known when his team traced CCTV cameras, where the suspected perpetrator often moved. Komarudin said Iwan Sumarno was arrested by residents of Pademangan area, north Jakarta.

“We received information with the same characteristics, someone who was arrested in RW 5 Pademangan around July, the arrested person was suspected of misappropriating a motorcycle,” Komarudin told reporters on Sunday (1/1).

Komarudin said his team found the identity card (KTP) of the guilty suspect. Komarudin said his group then matched the identity of the KTP owner with the kidnapper.

“That the person concerned had an ID card, from here we searched, and thank God we found an ID card, this is the identity of the KTP of the alleged perpetrator, where the victim’s parents said Yudi, several witnesses said Herman, the real name is this, Iwan Sumarno born in 1980 address in Rorotan, ”he said.

Komarudin said it was known from the KTP that the alleged perpetrator was arrested in 2014. Iwan Sumarno was sentenced to 7 years in prison in a child molestation case.

“Where in 2014, that Iwan Sumarno alias Jakcy was involved in a legal dispute in the North Jakarta court where he was convicted of a case of sexual abuse of a minor with a prison sentence, it is estimated that by 2021 it will be finished (jailed),” he said.
