The statement came during an interview with the Ukrainian channel 24.
Russia’s Investigative Committee said it may issue an international arrest warrant for the doctor if it decides that the doctor violated the law by calling for extreme violence against the captured Russian soldier.

“I give strict orders to castrate all injured people because they are cockroaches, not humans,” said Druzenko, during an interview reported by RT.com on Monday (21/3/2022).

His call for violence against prisoners of war prompted an investigation by Russia’s Investigative Committee with its chairman, Alexander Bastrykin, ordering a legal review of Druzenko’s actions.

Bastrykin argued that the attitude of doctors towards prisoners of war was against medical ethics.
