/ world today news/ The Kyustendil customs officer Georgi Vladimirov – Fozi will become the head of the “Oltomantsi” customs post at the beginning of next week, struma.bg reported. Fozi will spend the first days after returning to the customs system at “Mitnitsa Jugozapadna”.
Vladimirov returns to work in the system after the Supreme Administrative Court annulled as illegal the order of the director of the “Customs” Agency to dismiss him from the position of “head of a customs point” with rank V senior in the Regional Customs Directorate of Sofia.
This is the third return of the customs chief to the post after a court decision.
Fozzi’s latest suspension came after he was arrested in July 2012 as part of a 22 million cigarette ring. The operation was codenamed “Cigarzhii”. Vladimirov was then detained with a measure of “detention in custody”, which was later changed to “cash bail”. After his release from custody, Vladimirov was suspended from work at the Customs Agency .
In the case of the so-called “cigarette affair”, no case was initiated, and the pre-trial proceedings are at the end of their term.
