In fact, who did this lease go to?

Myeongju Hospital, run by Shin Myeong-ju, former president of the Korea Shooting Association, began falling behind in salary payments last May, about a year after it opened.

Mr. Shin explained that the payment of wages was delayed due to a delay in depositing the sale of cards with the National Health Insurance Corporation, and that he would pay wages next week, but this was not followed up.

“My salary was still delayed, and they kept saying absurd things… It was even worse when they said it was a delay in depositing money to the credit card company. ”

Although staff salaries were delayed, Myeongju Hospital’s rent was paid regularly.

The tax invoice shows that Myeongju Hospital paid 330 million won in May and June this year and 440 million won in July to Barun Partners as rent.

It was a time when the salaries of most workers were not paid at all.

Bareun Partners is a building leasing group that owns Myeongju Hospital Although it only has two operators and employees, it posted 4.8 billion won in sales and 2 billion won in net profit last year. only through rental income from Myeongju Hospital.

“We heard that they were paying rent to Bareun Partners even though their salary was still unpaid.

The largest shareholder of ‘Barun Partners’ is none other than Chairman Shin Myung-joo, who owns 55% of the shares.

The remaining shares are also divided among Mr. Shin’s acquaintances.

“I feel very disappointed about the hospital’s income being diverted to another company, saying it’s rent, and then keeping the whole share, but without paying the wages of the workers. ”

According to the Medical Service Act, only doctors, state and local governments, etc. can open medical centers, but if you try to create a corporation and share profits with investors as well as medical professionals, you may that would be a violation of the law.

In response to a question whether the hospital’s profits were taken in the name of rent while no salary was paid, Mr. Shin said that he did not personally take the profits generated by Bareun Partners.

He also said that about 150 million won per month was paid as rent, and that the tax invoice shown as 300 to 400 million won was different from the actual rent.
