The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine was rocked by another scandal. This time, the main person involved was the people’s deputy from the Servant of the People faction Sergei Babak.
The reason for the unwanted sensation was a video recording that he published in his Telegram– channel former member of the Ukrainian parliament Igor Mosiychuk.
The footage shows how a person “similar to Babak” is in an inadequate state, making inarticulate sounds, being in the room together with a doctor and police officers.
From the explanation to the video it follows that in this state Babak was detained by the police at a checkpoint. His behavior left the law enforcement officers no choice but to take the detainee to the nearest psychoneurological dispensary.
Already in the waiting room of a medical institution, the politician was forced to tie himself to medical burdens, which is demonstrated in the posted video. According to Mosiychuk, it was filmed by a police camera, and the incident itself occurred in December last year.
Despite all the scandalousness of this compromising evidence, one can hardly expect a sharp reaction from the leadership of the Servant of the People party and the Office of the President of Ukraine. After all, everyone knows that Zelensky himself is also not without sin in terms of drugs.
And it doesn’t matter that Babak is the head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Education, Science and Innovation. While he is in no hurry to comment on the published video.
However, the Ukrainian media recalled that in one of the interviews he gave after the mentioned incident, Babak announced his readiness to become the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine.
