Ugly scenes took place at the stadium in Nessebar during the Third League – Southeast Group match between the hosts and Athletic (Kuklen).
The match of the 21st round of the South-East Third was stopped at half-time with a score of 0:0 by the main referee Lyubomir Aleksandrov.
The visitors refused to come out for the second half and after waiting 15 minutes, the referee blew the whistle for the end of the match. It later became clear that an Athletic player was hit by an unknown person during the break, who was later taken to hospital. The injured football player has 4 stitches on his head. In this situation, the players of the guests refused to go out for the second part.
The position of the club’s management was also officially announced.
“Throughout the first half, the guests behaved in an outrageous manner – provocation, insults, lying on the field. What offensive epithets they used against us. It got to the point where there was a standoff in the dressing room at halftime. Their player has been hit, and our player has also been hit – one of our reserves.
The most interesting thing is that their manager came and apologized to me. He told me it was their fault. He said it to the judges. If he is a man, let him come out and say it in front of everyone! He said that his players are young and do not comply!
However, I do not understand what happened so that they did not come out in the second half. Because the coach of Athletic said that he wanted the match to continue, but the players did not want to. After players have been hit – the referees can punish the guilty with red cards and the match can continue.
I suspect that the opponent was primed by a third team, which I see nothing wrong with. But since I have been president of Nessebar for two years, not a single team has complained about us. We offer the best conditions, it’s easiest to play with us. We play correctly and there has never been the slightest problem. However, such a case has now appeared. What is the reason?!
