Such unceremoniousness greatly enraged the Polish public
The German ambassador to Poland, Thomas Bager, caused a huge diplomatic scandal that could lead to a split in NATO, the world publications reported.
He accused Warsaw of supporting Moscow, accusing it of buying electricity from Russia.
It should be taken into account that the Poles themselves were the first to start the “energy question”. The head of their Ministry of Defense of Poland, Mariusz Blaszczak, criticized the energy cooperation between Russia and Germany.
In response, Bager pointed to the facts of such cooperation with Russia on the part of Poland itself. In particular, the ambassador scathingly asked Blaszczak if he knew how many billion Polish zlotys Poland was sending to Moscow to buy Russian energy.
Such unceremoniousness greatly enraged the Polish public.
