Catalan football club “Espanyol” published an official statement on its website after the Central Arbitration Court of Madrid granted the authorization to the Polish striker from Barcelona Robert Lewandowski play against them tomorrow.
The fact is that the disqualification of Lewandowski has been suspended due to the fact that Barcelona have appealed and it takes time for this request to be considered.
Espanyol sees no reason to force the authorities to take such a decision. In their opinion, the interests of Barcelona for some reason were put above the interests of other clubs, which urgently need to adapt to the new conditions.
Note that on November 8, Barcelona played in the 14th round of La Liga against Osasuna. In that game, Robert, 34, was ejected from the field and when he left him he made an indecent gesture. The Sports Administrative Court decided for this incident disqualify Lewandowski for three games.
By the way, the match between Barcelona and Espanyol will take place tomorrow, December 31st. Kick-off will sound at 15:00 Kyiv time.
