In Jupînești commune in Gorj county, the meetings of the Local Council are held in the presence of the police and the gendarmerie. This is due to the fact that there were intrigues in the City Council regarding the vote on the local budget.
The commune was left without a budget because no local councilor agreed with the new personal guide hired by the mayor.

The prefecture agreed with the mayor. “The decision is not legal, motivated by the fact that members of the local council exceeded their duties and approved the abolition of a position from the organization chart and from the list of functions, on which a proposal could be initiated in this regard only by the mayor.”
Although fed up with the scandal, residents say it’s the only solution.
