They disgraced the military in the issue about the TCC
The number showed a parody of TCC employees. It starred Andrii Rybak, an ex-participant of the “Bachelorette” show on STB, and Anastasia Orujova, the actress of the Iryna Soponaru project. In this episode, they were in military uniform and talked about how the TCC works. In particular, about the “special code “DPO”, which is deciphered as “touches, kisses, hugs”. The actors on the stage kissed emotionally – this is, as it were, a way of “handing in a report”.
Ukrainians did not see the humor in this number, on the contrary – many saw it as a humiliation of the Ukrainian military, because the actors were in army uniforms.
The scandal surrounding the number about the girl from Skadovsk
In the New Year’s issue of “Evening Quarter”, the actors showed a number about a Russian-speaking girl from Skadovsk, who is trying to learn Ukrainian. The heroine of the parody twisted almost every word, as a result, as the Ukrainians noticed, it turned out to be shameful, not funny. The girl could not even clearly say that she is “from Skadovsk”, instead she pronounced it “Siskadovsk”.
The mayor of Skadovsk, Oleksandr Yakovlev, and many public figures reacted to the number. They noted that this is an allusion to all the people who are now trying to switch to Ukrainian. And that the people who found themselves in the occupation, like the residents of Skadovsk, should be supported, not oppressed.
In the end, the actors of the show Yuriy Veliky and Iryna Gatun apologized for their roles, saying that they did not intend to offend Ukrainians. The episode itself was removed from the You Tube platform, and performances (except for the “Quarter 95” project) with Gatun’s participation were canceled.
The number is about men whose wives have gone abroad
In the spring, a scandal broke out around a number about Ukrainian families that were forcibly separated by a full-scale war. Iryna Gatun played again in this number. She portrayed a woman who returned from Poland. Practically the entire plot is based on the fact that the man became very “hungry” for carnal pleasures, so he constantly demanded intimacy with his wife.
The actors used the folk song “Oh, in the cherry orchard” in the number, turning it into a “lustful ode”. Viewers left many outrageous comments under the video of this number, noting that it is absolutely low-grade humor.
Announcement of an entertainment show against the background of shelling of Ukraine and a concert in Bukovel
“Quarter 95” posted an announcement of an entertainment show on its Instagram page the day before the New Year, which made Ukrainians very angry. The day before, on December 29, Russia launched numerous missile strikes across Ukraine. It was one of the most massive attacks.
Then Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia, Odesa, Dnipro, Kharkiv and Lviv came under enemy fire. There were dozens of victims, mourning was announced in a number of cities. However, “Kvartal 95” did not feel the general atmosphere that prevailed among Ukrainians at that time. People perceived the announcement of the show as a complete detachment of artists from current events. Then, in the comments on the studio’s page, users left hundreds of angry comments.
It should be noted that just a few days before, “Kvartal 95” was forced to cancel its New Year’s concert in Bukovel, tickets for which cost from 1,119 to 2,499 hryvnias. The reason for this, most likely, was the statement of the editor-in-chief of Censor.NET Yuriy Butusov that representatives of the TCC could gather a full battalion at this concert.

Olena Kravets and money from the state budget
Ukrainian actress and presenter of the show “Silent Evening” on the TV channel “Home” Olena Kravets, ex-participant of “Quarter 95”, on New Year’s Eve got into a high-profile scandal because of the financing of her show. 27.5 million hryvnias were supposed to be allocated for it from the state budget.
Many Ukrainians accused her of allocating money to the show “on the spur of the moment”, as she has long been in close contact with the presidential project “Kvartal 95”.
As a result, Kravets explained that this money was invested in the show at the beginning of 2023, and the program will not be released in 2024.
