Yesterday, a scandal erupted online around reports that workers from several circuses and television channels, in particular from the United News telethon, received reservations from mobilization. According to Poturaev, his opinion is that media workers and cultural workers need to be booked.
“And we are not talking about a marathon or a circus, on the topic of which everyone is trying to demonstrate wit. But about the criteria for fulfilling an important social function,” he emphasized.
As Poturaev explained, the point is that media and cultural groups “play an important role in the public life” of Ukrainians.
“Does anyone have any doubts that the media (all of them – especially in wartime), or cultural groups (at least the main ones – capable of gathering a hall from a village to a regional center) play an important role in public life, and protect citizens from so that people do not completely go crazy under the pressure of war? Well, it is clear that it is also necessary to reserve those technical specialists, without whom the functioning of the media or the work of groups and cultural institutions is simply impossible,” the people’s deputy added.
