Several school canteens in Grenoble (Isère) fed tiramisu to several students. But as Le Dauphiné Liberated indicates, the parents were indignant because the dessert contained alcohol.
The Italian menu posed a problem in several school canteens located in Grenoble (Isère).
According to information from the Dauphiné liberated, when the end of the meal arrived, tiramisu was offered to the students. A dessert whose recipe has sparked a real controversy in the city of ecologist mayor Éric Piolle.
In some establishments, the officers were the first to have a flea in their ear. When they saw the tiramisu being served, they noticed a notable difference: instead of alcohol extract, real alcohol was present in the dessert.
Parents’ anger
BFMTV indicates that not all canteens reacted in the same way. In those where the concern was noticed, the desserts were immediately removed. On the other hand, in others, the tiramisu in question was indeed consumed by the students. Only those on a meatless diet were exempt. Another dessert was offered to them.
When they heard the news, many parents of students expressed their anger to the municipality of Grenoble. The town hall later apologized to them. BFMTV explains that Mayor Éric Piolle did not communicate the number of establishments (out of the 39 primary schools in charge of the City) where this incident took place. The elected official assured that alcohol was present in “very low quantity”.
