Postal police, beware of false e-mails: what you need to know

The Postal Police has recently published a notice on its website through which it has announced a new scam attempt that has already made many users fall into the trap. This scam takes place by sending e-mails that appear to come from a banking institution, only to turn out not to be really so. In this case the name used is that of Intesa Sanpaolo.

Through this communication, therefore, the recipient of the message is invited to click on a link where to insert your own credentials access to the bank’s online services, with the excuse of having to update the system and improve the security of the current account. Right here the trap is triggered. Once they have entered their data, in fact, the scammers can act undisturbed on the victim’s account, stealing Money.

But not only that, to make many fall into the trap is the fact that in the message it is explained that this request is made in accordance with the Police post. Obviously, as it is easy to guess, this is not the case, with the same Postal Police inviting us to pay close attention.

So here is the email used by scammers to watch out for: “Dear customer, we are pleased to inform you that we finally have partnered with the Postal Police in response to the attacks on banking systems in recent years. Your account should be updated as soon as possible to take security measures to prevent further misuse of your cards”.
