Formula E Jakarta 2022 successfully held. DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan presented this Formula E event to Mother Earth.
This electric car racing event was attended by President Jokowi as well as a number of officials and figures. Officials present included Tourism and Creative Economy Minister Sandiaga Uno, Youth and Sports Minister Zainudin Amali, Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin, National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, Manpower Minister Ida Fauziah, and ATR/BPN Minister Sofyan Djalil, to DPR Speaker Puan Maharani.
While the figures who were also present, including the General Chair of PAN Zulkifli Hasan, former Coordinating Minister for the Economy Hatta Rajasa and PAN Secretary General Eddy Soeparno welcomed. There is also the General Chairperson of the PKB Muhaimin Iskandar (Cak Imin), the Deputy Chair of the PKB Jazilul Fawaid, to the Chairperson of the Democratic Party Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY).
The electric car race was won by Jaguar racer Mitch Evans. Jokowi assesses that Formula E Jakarta is running smoothly.
“Yes, thank God, everything went smoothly and well,” said Jokowi to reporters at the Formula E Circuit, Ancol Region, North Jakarta, Saturday (4/6/2022).
Jokowi hopes that the activity will be the beginning of the public’s introduction to electric cars. According to him, there has been a shift in the use of electric cars.
“I think this is a future event because we know that there will be a shift from cars that are now a lot of people to electric car users,” he said.

Toddlers Wandering
Formula E ticket brokers roam the Ancol area, North Jakarta. The police intervened to secure the brokers.
Police officers checked several people suspected of being brokers. Police officers also searched the pockets of the pants and clothes of residents suspected of being brokers.
“Are you a broker, aren’t you? Don’t be like that,” said one of the police officers.
Several people who were not proven to be brokers were released by the police. However, several others who were proven were immediately arrested.
There are a number of people who have been arrested because they are proven to be brokers for buying Formula E tickets. The police have not yet specified the number of perpetrators who have been arrested.
In addition to Ancol, brokers also appeared in the JIExpo area, which is the parking location for Formula E spectators. Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Komarudin said his party would take firm action if ticket brokers were found.
“Once again, if we find out that there is a process or practice of brokering, we will definitely follow up. Of course, the committee will also continue to coordinate with us so that we anticipate things that are not desirable,” he said.
