Scammed with a fake text message, he loses 4 thousand euros from his account

Scammed with a fake SMS Italian Post Office a man of Consilina Hall he finds himself with approximately four thousand euros less in his current account, but he manages to get back the entire sum that had been stolen from him thanks to a provision of theBanking and Financial Arbitration (ABF). The appeal, which led to the return of the sum fraudulently subtracted from the client’s account, was filed by the lawyer Vito Panzella of the Lagonegro ForumOn February 9 and 10, 2024, the man received a series of SMS apparently coming from Italian Post Office.

The suspension

These messages reported the suspension of his current account due to an alleged failure to follow security procedures, inviting him to click on a link to resolve the problem. Unable to access his banking app and after changing his username, the victim of the scam tried to follow the indicated link, without success. Shortly after, he was contacted by a fake operator who, identifying himself as an employee of Poste Italiane, offered to assist him in unblocking his account, claiming to be blocking a scam attempt.
