CCTV News: From October 15th to November 4th, the China Import and Export Fair, also known as the “Canton Fair”, will be held in Guangzhou in three phases. In the face of the complex and ever-changing international foreign trade situation, this Canton Fair has optimized and adjusted its exhibition organization, and the scale of the exhibition has reached a new high.
The 134th Canton Fair opens tomorrow and will be held in three phases
The exhibition scale of this Canton Fair has reached a new high, with the exhibition area expanded to 1.55 million square meters, an increase of 50,000 square meters over the previous session; the total number of booths is 74,000, an increase of nearly 4,600 over the previous session.
“One Belt, One Road” participating countries accounted for 60% of the exhibitors
According to non-duplicate statistics in each exhibition area, there are 28,533 exhibitors, an increase of 3,135 from the previous session, from 43 countries and regions. The participating countries of the “Belt and Road” countries accounted for 60%. As of October 12, 100,000 buyers from 215 countries and regions have pre-registered, and 140 leading multinational companies have confirmed their participation.
Optimize the exhibition area structure and highlight brand leadership
In recent years, the structure of China’s export products has continued to be optimized, and the international competitiveness of a number of high-tech, high-value-added, green and low-carbon products has been significantly enhanced. As the “wind vane” and “barometer” of China’s foreign trade, the structure of the Canton Fair exhibition area is also an important manifestation of this change.
Exhibition area adjustments reflect new trends in China’s foreign trade
Compared with the previous session, the first phase of this Canton Fair focuses on advanced manufacturing. Approximately 3,000 booths will be added to the exhibition area for mechanical and electrical products such as home appliances, consumer electronics, machinery and equipment, and new energy. Among them, the scale of the new energy exhibition area increased by 172%, further assisting the expansion of exports of the “three new products”. The second and third phases focus on adapting to consumption upgrades and the needs of a better life, displaying traditional labor-intensive products such as household products, building materials and furniture, textiles and clothing, and injecting vitality into the development of traditional advantageous industries.
The number of exhibitors from high-quality companies such as specialized, specialized and innovative enterprises increased.
The improvement in the quality of exhibitors at the Canton Fair is also reflected in the participation of more new companies. There are about 4,600 high-quality enterprises such as “little giants” specializing in new technologies, individual champions in manufacturing, national high-tech enterprises, customs AEO advanced certification, national enterprise technology centers, and Chinese time-honored brands.
Improve the online platform to enrich business expansion functions
While the scale of offline exhibitions has expanded, the Canton Fair has also further improved its online platform. As of now, there are 28,653 exhibitors on the online platform, 2,115 more than the previous session, and about 2.72 million products have been uploaded, including about 700,000 new products.
Strengthen the docking of supply and demand, serve foreign trade, promote stability and improve quality
Online and offline linkage is conducive to strengthening the connection between supply and demand, helping companies obtain orders and expand markets, thereby better serving the stabilization of scale and optimal structure of foreign trade.
