Scafati, shootings in Mariconda: commando condemned

Armed raid in the neighborhood Mariconda Of Scafati: trial concluded with three convictions that became final. The agreement between the parties led to a reduction in sentences for the three defendants, with sentences reduced compared to those imposed at first instance. The acceptance of the grounds of appeal and the renunciation of further grounds by the defense made it possible to obtain sentence reductions of 4 to 6 months for each of the accused. The victim

The episode dates back to 21 January 2023, when an armed commando opened fire in broad daylight in the heart of the Mariconda district of Scafati, in via Bernini. The victim of the raid, the 34 year old Vincenzo L.was hit by several 7.65 caliber bullets while he was at his mother’s house. The wound proved to be almost fatal: the blows, aimed mainly at the thigh and calf, severed the femoral artery, putting the victim’s life in serious danger. Only thanks to a timely surgical intervention at the“San Leonardo” hospital Of Castellammare di Stabia it was possible to save his life, with a delicate revascularization operation on his right leg which avoided permanent damage.
