The Givova Scafati is proud to announce the arrival in yellow and blue of Andrea Cinciarini, legendary playmaker born in 1986, best assist-man in the history of Serie A. A career that needs no introduction, that of “Science”who took his first steps in the youth sector of Pesaroa club with which he made his debut in October 2003 in the top national championship. In 2004/2005 he defended the colours of Virtus Pesaro, before the experiences at Senigallia (B for Excellence), Pistoia, Montegranaro e Cantu. In 2012 he signed with the Reggiana Basketballwearing the Emilian jersey, the first great successes arrive: he wins the EuroChallenge – being elected MVP of the tournament – in 2014, the following year he reaches the championship final (then lost) against Dynamo Sassari.
Over 1000 points in just under 90 games make him a true idol of Reggio Emilia in segments. In the summer of 2015 he moved toOlympia Milanbecoming captain in 2016. Andrea has been wearing the Milanese jersey for six seasons, in which he has managed to enrich his list of achievements quite a bit: two league titles, three Italian Cups and four Italian Super Cups. In the 2021 summer transfer window he returns to Reggio Emilia, where he writes yet another page of personal and championship history thanks to the triple double scored in the match against Treviso: the first Italian in history to achieve it. Cinciarini holds numerous records in the Italian championship, the most iconic of all being the one achieved on 8 January 2023, when he becomes the active player with the highest number of assists in Serie A.
He closes the 2021-23 two-year period by recording 9.8 assists per shoe lace-up at the end of both the first and second seasons. In the 2023/2024 season he opens a new chapter in his extraordinary career: the important proposal of Zaragoza, a team involved in the top Spanish championship and also on the continental field, in the Europe Cup, is tempting for Andrea, who accepts the role of “foreigner”. The return to Italy is not long in coming, the signing with Pesaro last December is his last stop before landing on yellow and blue land. He closes last season, in which he totals 38 appearances between Liga ACB, FIBA Europe Cup and LBA, with 9.4 points, 5.3 rebounds, 6.2 assists and 1.8 steals on average in Italy, resulting in the third best assist-man in the championship and the second in terms of steals: exceptional numbers for a man, before being a player, truly infinite.
The “Cincia” has participated in four editions of the European Championships with the shirt of the Italian national team (2011, 2013, 2015, 2017). Now all the leadership and quality of a legend of Italian basketball are at Givova’s complete disposal.
