Scabies in the hospital. Cases under observation – Onda TV

CASTEL DI SANGRO. Six cases of scabies, among patients and operators, in the Castel di Sangro hospital. The discovery was made a few days after the first infection of a patient. The affected workers were examined, and in some cases a period of rest with prophylaxis was prescribed. At the same time, health monitoring was implemented for patients to monitor for any further contamination. Scabies is a skin disease caused by a mite, Sarcoptes scabiei, which causes severe itching and skin irritation. The treatment includes scrupulous washing and special creams. It is not dangerous to humans but should still be avoided
