SC Schöftland was convincing against leader Prishtina Bern, but still lost in the end. Again the Schöftlers are chased after a lead.

The starting stage on the artificial turf at Bodenweid in Bern did not bring much excitement to the spectators. So the first 15 minutes can be safely narrowed down to “sniffing” on both sides. The game, which had been balanced until then, suddenly changed from the 16th minute onwards. The leader with his technical players turned up the heat and pushed hard for the opening goal. Vula opened up a series of first class opportunities. Alone in front of SCS goalkeeper Remo Schenk, he missed a lot. Just two turns later, the swirling Zymberi only hit the outside post. In the 21st minute, Schenk had to show all his skills. He steered Murina’s long-range shot towards the corner. Dangerous goal shots in front of Schöftler’s goal followed almost every minute. By luck and also thanks to Bern’s indecisiveness in the end, SC Schöftland survived this level of pressure.

SCS had almost no possession of the ball in the second 15 minutes of the first half and when they did, they lost possession immediately. But out of nowhere you came across an opportunity yourself. Suddenly Kuba Johannsmeier was able to attack Gashi alone, but he got lost at the most stupid moment. Shortly before half time, Remo Schenk was needed again. With a strong reflex, he steered the ball over the crossbar towards the corner.

Schöftland with full steam out of the cabin

After the break, it wasn’t just the local fans who were surprised. Schöftland emerged from the cabin at full steam. For a moment, Prishtina did not know what happened to them. In the 49th and 50th minutes, Johannsmeier appeared alone in front of Gashi twice. However, the Bern goalkeeper had luck on his side and blocked Schöftler’s goal both times. Schöftland kept pushing and was rewarded for it. At the third attempt, Kuba Johannsmeier headed home a free kick from Mijatovic to make it 0-1.

The director, with a brief panic, showed why he is at the top of the chart and picked up the pace. Just four minutes later the game resumed. Kastrati had influence on the right. Boiro Balde used his perfect pass into the central area to make it 1-1. With a quarter of an hour to go, things got even better for the home team: a free kick from the right scored the winning goal. Mauro Noordjik was on the ball before his opponent, but the sharp cross found its way into the goal through his head, which was very unfortunate. Not much happened after that. Schöftland was close to surprise and challenged the director more than he would have liked.
