SC Potsdam secures first victory in women’s volleyball Bundesliga intermediate round

SC Potsdam achieved its first win in the intermediate round of the women’s volleyball Bundesliga. The Brandenburg women won against SSC Schwerin in their home hall on Saturday evening with 3:2 (24:26, 25:23, 25:13, 24:26, 15:13).

The 1,387 spectators in Potsdam’s MBS Arena were treated to a total of 137 minutes of top volleyball. In an exciting game, both teams fought for every point until the end. The SCP’s most valuable player was outside attacker Rodica Buterez.

In the intermediate round, the five best-placed teams in the Bundesliga main round are among themselves and each play against each other once. The first started with twelve points, the fifth with zero. It’s about the best possible starting position for the subsequent playoffs.

The SCP is currently fourth with five points behind the top teams in the main round from Stuttgart and Schwerin (15 each) and Dresden (9). At the start of the second round, coach Riccardo Boieri’s team lost to the German champions MTV Stuttgart.
