On Saturday afternoon, SC Heerenveen played a practice match against Almere City in preparation for the second half of the season. Not a pleasant experience for the Frisians: a tragedy was prevented by coming back to 2-4 after a 0-4 deficit.
In the first block it was Rajiv van La Parra who gave Almere City the lead. That was just a harbinger of what awaited SC Heerenveen. The Frisians also fell behind 0-2 via Layee Kromah. The same Kromah also made the 0-3 after 53 minutes.
After an hour, SC Heerenveen started the remainder of the match with a completely different team. However, Jaden Pinas also made it 0-4 after 80 minutes. Simon Olsson did something back with the 1-4, after which Pelle van Amersfoort made it 2-4. That’s it.
