Freiburg (dpa/lsw) – SC Freiburg wants to show a reaction after their surprising elimination from the DFB Cup. Three days after the 1:3 defeat in the second round against second division team SC Paderborn, coach Christian Streich’s team will face Borussia Mönchengladbach on Saturday (3:30 p.m./Sky). The statistics speak for the Breisgau team. They have not lost against Gladbach in 15 home games. Mönchengladbach’s only win in 21 Bundesliga appearances in Freiburg came on March 23, 2002 (1-0). Most recently, Gladbach won twice in a row against 1. FC Heidenheim – first in the league, then in the DFB Cup.
