RC Lens Mercato: In lack of playing time, under the orders of Franck Haise, a young RCL player should join the SC Bastia in League 2.
RC Lens Mercato: Ibrahima Baldé on loan to SC Bastia
Deprived of playing time at RC Lens, Ibrahima Balde could look elsewhere this summer, in order to give themselves the means to play more regularly. Franck Haise does not count on him and he has only played 4 ends of matches in Ligue 1 and 3 brief appearances in the Coupe de France (65 minutes of play accumulated with the professional team).
According to information from Corse Matin, the 19-year-old striker should be loaned by the RCL to SC Bastia, for one season. The objective of the Northern club being to allow its young player to progress and harden up in Ligue 2, under the colors of the Corsican club. Arrived at La Gaillette in 2018 from Red Star, Ibrahima Baldé signed his first professional contract with RC Lens in July 2021. He is under contract with the Sang et Or until June 2024.
RC Lens Mercato: Baldé barred by competition at RCL
The Franco-Senegalese has indeed been tested by Franck Haise to see if he could be an internal solution to replace Arnaud Kalimuendo, whose final transfer from PSG is not won at all. But he was not convincing when he came into play, both in the league and in the Coupe de France.
In addition to the Paris Saint-Germain centre-forward, Franck Haise’s first attacking choice, who can still return to Racing Club de Lens, the coach also trusts Ignatius Ganago at the forefront of the attack. He also has other offensive choices with the versatile Florian Sotoca, Corentin Jean or Wesley Saïd. Ibrahima Baldé is therefore faced with strong competition in attack within his training club.
